As a young and busy mom I value personal moments, whether they are captured in laughs or images. my passion for photography started six years ago. My dream was to follow in my oldest sister's footsteps, like any annoying little sister. Eventually, my sister saw my passion, and bought me my first professional camera, and made me promise to pursue this journey, and that is exactly what I did.
Meet Edynn, my four year old spunky side kick. I picked her name originally because of the many nick names that could come from it. We started calling her Eddy Lou, followed by: Ed, Edwardo, Freddy, Frank, Steven, and Karen. My poor child.
From a young age I wanted to be just like my older sister. She has a masters in photography so naturally, I had to do the same. I was obsessed with her work from a young age, took photo class in high school, and ended up making a career out of it. Sorry K.
I became a mom at 19, and it was the best thing to happen to me. Without this journey, I know for a fact I would not be where I am today, or even a photographer for that matter. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.
In 2017 I attended college in Minnesota eager to compete as a track and cross country runner. However, life lead me in a different direction, when I found myself pregnant at 19. I moved back home to raise my daughter, continue my education, and pursue my passion of photography. I've learned that life is not intended to be easy, it's intended to have meaning. I believe every circumstance in life provides me with an opportunity to learn and become a better human.
